Alice Leahy Trust 50th Anniversary – 25th November 2025 – City Hall, Dublin
The Alice Leahy Trust celebrated its 50th anniversary on 25th November in City Hall, Dublin which was very kindly given to us by Chief Executive of Dublin City Council, Richard Shakespeare.
Pat Kenny hosted the event for us and Senator Michael McDowell SC was our keynote speaker. Other speakers included the Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan who thanked Alice and all in the Alice Leahy Trust on behalf of the Government. Maol Muire Tynan, Chair of Alice Leahy Trust, Poet Fr. Padraig Daly, Journalist Mick Clifford, Assistant Garda Commissioner Michael McElgunn, Director of Dublin Region Homeless Executive Mary Hayes and Alice Leahy wrapped up the event. Background piano music was provided by Robert Phillips.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our friends and supporters who have helped make our work possible over the last 50 years.
A copy of our commemorative book to mark our event “Outsiders – Fifty Years of the Alice Leahy Trust” was given to all who joined us on the morning. This book is available for sale in Alan Hanna’s bookshop, 270 Rathmines Road Lower, Dublin 6. Tel: 4967398 or click the below link.
